As part of a kitchen course we had to design a kitchen for an ambassador.
My friend Hagar Camil and I chose to design for the ambassador of Ukraine.
Our customers love to cook soups, bake whole grain breads, make pickles and even make homemade alcohol.
We chose to produce a kitchen that meets all of their requests programmatically.
It was important to us to produce a kitchen full of storage spaces, a kitchen that is comfortable to work in and that allows seating.

We created a display of shelves for the 'Samovars' (the kettles they brought with them from Ukraine) and we created an area for the preparation of the home made alcohol.
All the doors of the kitchen cabinets are made of laser cut wood with a traditional pattern and are painted white, thus allowing a play of pattern and texture but still remaining subtle in the eye.
We also used recycled wood that was processed and strengthened to add to the traditional look.
