The Odessa Hotel project started after a family crisis that I went through.
While understanding my Ukrainian roots and being aware of the war with Russia.
Odessa is my parents' hometown and it is a central city in Ukraine so I found it very similar to Tel Aviv.
The boutique hotel we got to design in Tel Aviv immediately connected me to the idea of a hotel for refugees from the war.
In the project, it was important to me to let the refugees feel at home, if it is in a design that has traditional touches and the possibility to feel a community that contributes to each other.

On the basement floor you can see that this is the shared central space of the hotel residents where they cook together and spend time together.

On the ground floor you will see an eating area whose purpose is to allow donors to come and eat what the tenants will prepare and thus help the donation for them.

On the other floors, it was important to me to allow rooms of various sizes and the number of people that each room would accommodate, there are service areas on each floor for laundry and other services,
On the first floor you can see a clinic and on the second floor a classroom for the children in order to feel that they are in their normal routine.
The Ukrainian carpet appears in several variations whether it is in a frame on the wall or a door frame and in a variety of colors.
