The course dealt with product design.
We based it on our room in the hotel we designed.
We were asked to plan, design and manufacture 3 items of different sizes that speak the same formal or material language.
The hotel's project dealt with Ukrainian refugees from the Ukraine-Russia War and drew inspiration from their culture.
It was important to me that the products be made of the same material, so I chose clay to symbolize the connection to tradition and the art of handicraft.

The first product I designed was a hanging hook that is minimal and was inspired by the form of the Matryoshka doll.

The second product is Shabbat candlesticks in order to connect them to their Judaism and the place where they are. The candlesticks draw form inspiration from the Bublik, which is a beloved and well-known cookie in the culture.

The last product is a pendant light, which is inspired by the traditional Ukraine Pottery Ceramics, I chose to refer to the lid of the traditional teapot and give it a new formal interpretation.
